Beverly Marie Inman or just Beverly Barton, as she is best known by many people, was one of the most prominent authors of America who used to love writing books and novels based on the romance, contemporary and fiction genres. She was born on December 23, 1946 in Tuscumbia, Alabama, United States to Walter D. Inman Jr. and Doris Marie. Beverly was the lover of romance right from her childhood days as she instantly fell in love with the epic love story, The Beauty and the Beast after reading her at an early age. She was very grateful to her grandfather who bought a copy of the popular fairy tale for her. She was able to create some magical words as well as some exciting characters through her vivid imagination in her mind even before she was able to read and write. Her hidden talent was nurtured by the movies as Beverly was very much fascinated by the romantic love stories shown in the movies. At the age of 7, she had begun rewriting the scripts of the movies that she saw in local theatres and on television in order to give them happy endings according to her own imagination. Her creative mind had helped her to write down her first novel at the age of 9 and continued with her hobby of writing TV scripts, novels, short stories, and poetry throughout her high school days and even in college.

After completing her graduation Beverly got married to Billy Ray Beaver, whom she considered the love of her life and gave birth to a couple of children. However, she did not stop going to movies and being a voracious reader. But, she had stopped her writing habits for a short while and began writing novels and romantic stories once her children entered their teenage. Beverly always says that her children had always been a great joy in her life at every stage of their lives, right from being infants up to their adulthood. For a major part of her life, she had devoted herself to her children and her husband and considered herself as a selfless Supermom as she always put the needs of her family first. She always had a very positive approach at whatever work she did and believed that she had had everything that she ever wanted, but not all of them at the same time. By the time Beverly Barton reached her mid 30s, she decided to return to her passion of writing once again, however, she had still not thought of having it as a career. She used to consider it just as a hobby.

But before Beverly reached the age of 40, she had decided to make writing as her full time career. She even received great support from her family members on her decision to rediscover her old dream of becoming a prominent published author. The biggest support that she received in her new career, came from her husband Billy Ray whereas her children always cheered her up in all the situations. And when her dream of becoming a noteworthy novelist came true, she had successfully written more than 40 books and received a number of awards and nominations. Many of her books had featured on the USA Today list and had also become bestsellers in the Waldenbooks list of successful novels. Beverly seemed to be extremely satisfied with the achievements in her life and considered herself truly blessed for having a fabulous family and some very fantastic friends. She also considered herself fortunate enough to earn her living through the one thing that she liked doing right from her childhood days. And after living a happy and peaceful life with her family, she died on April 21, 2011 due to a sudden heart failure.

In her writing career, Beverly Barton was able to complete a total of five novel series’, all of which had many exciting novels and were quite successful too. The Griffin Powell detective thriller series written by her consisted of a total of 13 books published between the years 200 and 2011. Meanwhile, a woman named Lane Noble Graham was accused as the prime suspect in the murder of her ex-husband. She could be saved with the help of only one man named Johnny Mack Cahill. However, he had vowed not to return to the town of Noble’s Crossing ever as it had given him many unpleasant experiences previously. But, Johnny and Lane share a secret that makes them the next targets of the twisted killer who had killed Lane’s ex-husband. Now, both of them are required to help each other in order to save themselves from getting killed by the twisted killer and help the police to catch him in order to produce him before the court of justice and tried for murder.

The second novel of the series was published under the title ‘The Fifth Victim’. It was published by the Zebra publishing house in the year 2003. However, the images keep getting more violent and stronger every day.
